The Beauty and the Bat Collection

The Beauty and the Bat is originally a role-playing game of me, my dear
I'm playing Severus Snape and she plays her OC Emily Brown.

It is completely written in German only and the first chapter has about 280 pages (We needed only 2 month for this). If you want to read it, you can find the dowload link in the description here: [link]

After we started playing, I wished to have some illustrations and so RedPassion made the first drawings and manipulations, because she is the one who is more talented in those things
We were surprised how many people liked the artwork of our couple although some weren't too happy that two styles were mixed. In this case we have to say: The pictures are primarily for us and not for others!

It was 4 month after my first post of our rpg, when I became extremely stressed because I had to finish my Snape cosplay for our first shooting. I did the last stitches only minutes before we entered the park where we took the photos.

And when we started a little contest, we got more entries than we've expected and we began to order comissions and my dear did art trades with other artists. At least we had fanwork.

In the meantime we are working to correct the second chapter and did a second shooting while we constantly write our posts for the third year for Emily at Hogwarts.

I want to say thank you to everyone who supports us by faving, watching, commenting, drawing fanwork or doing a commission for us.
It is nice to see that our pairing, that we created is liked by others.

Features of the contest winners

Today I have the honor to present you the winners of the contest "Emily Brown and her men" of the

At first I want to say THANK YOU to all who participated.
You were all so great and =RedPassion and I were so happy that we had so much entries

And congratulations to all the 6 winners. Your pictures were so beautiful and our members voted for you. So your work and art will be honoured again in this journal.

Goes to this lovely drawing of Emily with her beloved rose

Title: He was murdered by

Even if I repeat other opinions, but the colours are just breathtaking and fit perfectly for the mood of Emily in this picture. You can see that she holds that rose like something very precious and as a symbol for the man she loves and who was murdered it's very fittting. Even when it was one of the last entries, it was love on first sight with this piece. You see her tears and could cry with her. Very emotional and beautiful at the same time.

Is for this very cute idea of a grumpy Snape-plushie she can cuddle to

This was one of the early entries and with that one of my personal favourites in the beginning. I still love the concept, the colours and Emily's look. With the little plushie, which doesn't look so amused it's a perfect mirror for their relationship in the first year. The glitter and the rose petals give it a romantic touch. I think I have to bruch my teeth after so much sweet sugar

Very unusually we have this time three 3. places after they had same amount of votes and =RedPassion and I thought, that they all would deserve it

One of it is this sad but powerfull drawing of Emily again with a rose and a little lock as pendant.

Again a very fitting title in combination with the two hints of her beloved man. Like the first place it's a more sad and emotional piece but this time without tears. But that's not detrimental, on the contrary, here you can see how hard it must be for Emily to stay strong. I really love the necklace with the lock pendant, so she can wear something of him near her heart.

The next also includes a pendant and has a seductive touch.

Oh yes, another side of Emily is shown here very well. A bit tempting, not in a cheeky but in a more natural way and showing to which man she and her heart belongs... and probably the only one who would ever see her like that and I'm sure he will enjoy the view! We still wonder which potion is in that miniature bottle.

Before we started this contest we thought about the choices the artists could use to present either Louis XVI or Severus. But we never thought of the Dark Mark as a tatoo! I find this idea brilliant, cause with this Emily can convince her beloved, that she doesn't find it disgusting or that she condemn him because of his past. In combination with her alluring pose on his chaise longue, she has the perfect look on her face and the last little detail is the wedding ring on her hand.
